Custom Built Tables – Lavarnway Designs

Moore Hardwood loves helping people find the reclaimed wood they need for their DIY projects.  Nothing adds more character to your home than a homemade, custom built piece of furniture. Many times, however, our customers want that unique and authentic table or dresser but don’t have the time or tools needed to make it look just how they’d like.  Thankfully, Moore Hardwood is friends with some incredible craftsmen, or in this case craftswomen, who can bring that vision to life!

Karen Lavarnway, founder of @LavarnwayDesigns, contacted us last week because she needed some boards and trusses to build a dining room table for one of her clients.  In short time Karen brought our 1850’s oak barn wood to life and we are blown away with how well it came out! Here are some pictures to show the process:

As we encourage all our clients to do when cutting or planing reclaimed wood – always be sure to double check that there are no nails with a metal detector! #DenailedIt

Finally it’s time for Karen to stain the wood and put the pieces together!
